The Neighbours

After a very muddy greasy road into Boulia ( An hour before we got there they had their annual rainfall!!) we found a great spot to camp with water frontage views, an island you might even call it! Elvis still made it for the Friday night entertainment though, which was a lot of fun with our new friends (neighbours) . Unfortunately the races were postponed till the weather cleared which was not until Monday. Marooned we continued to enjoy ourselves as usual. Finally the wood chop and camel races were on and it was so much fun. They even had camel tagging where a piece of gaff tape had to be stuck to the camel which meant chasing it around the yard ( in the mud) and then trying to remove it again - did you know they can kick sideways? Managed to catch the Min Min show at the info centre on our way out and that was great - not what we had expected as it was like sets on a movie with lifelike figures that moved and talked about their Min Min experiences.
